Spanish citizenship under the program 2 years
What is residence in Spain through Navira?
Residence in Spain through Navira Global means a documented legal pathway to live in Spain based on income, work, study, investment, or family grounds. Navira analyzes the applicant profile, selects the correct visa or residence type, and prepares a defensible file for consular or in-country submission. Popular 2026 routes include the Digital Nomad visa for remote workers (minimum income thresholds apply), non-lucrative residence for financially independent applicants, entrepreneur residence for business founders, and family reunification when dependents meet income rules. Research by Spanish immigration practitioners shows that incomplete tax documentation and weak remote-work contracts are among the most common refusal reasons; Navira addresses these risks before filing. Typical preparation takes 4–10 weeks; government processing often ranges from 2–6 months. Services also cover NIE/TIE appointments, appeal support, rental contracts, and renewal planning. Clients can start at navira.global/spain/ or book a consultation with Navira's Spain desk at sales@navira.global.

Is it right for you spanish citizenship program
If you want to get the maximum freedom of movement, work without restrictions and connect your future with Spain, this five-year status will be the perfect, easy and completely legal start to your journey.
Suitable |
|---|
| You are ready to confirm the fact of residence. You are in Spain or are planning to arrive on a visa, and you have the legal opportunity to officially record and confirm the maintenance of a common household with a citizen of the country on the spot. |
| There's a cohabitation. You have or are planning a joint residence permit (padrón conjunto) at the same address in Spain, continuously confirming the maintenance of common life throughout the mandatory annual period. |
| Financial guarantees are fine. The receiving party has a stable income (contract for work, activity as Autónomo) or a sufficient amount in the general account to support life and integration in Spain. |
| We have the right insurance. You have or are ready to apply for a full policy from a Spanish company without surcharges (sin copagos), without limits and franchises, strictly meeting the requirements of the immigration authority. |
| You want an EU passport. Your main goal is to complete rapid integration, pass state tests and apply for citizenship of the Kingdom after 12 months of living together. |
| You want the legal way. All your personal documents (including apostilled certificates and sworn translations of traducción jurada) fully reflect the real situation and are ready to be uploaded to the system. |
Not suitable/needs another way |
|---|
| There is no way to confirm accommodation. If you do not have a real host party for the official registration of joint residence in Spain or lost contact with a citizen of the country. |
| Funds and income cannot be confirmed. If the receiving party does not have a legal income in Spain, and the accounts do not have a minimum amount for long-term residence and farming, the department will issue a refusal. |
| There is no continuity of residence. If you plan to leave the kingdom for a long time. For expedited obtaining a passport, the law requires strict observance of the period of residence. |
| Registration is planned from abroad. This regulation and the accelerated annual period are implemented strictly in Spain. It is not possible to run this process through a consulate in your country of citizenship. |
| There's no insurance or it's inappropriate. The usual travel policy is not suitable. You need a full-fledged one-year contract with a Spanish insurance company with maximum hospital coverage. |
| The law is broken or there is deportation. If you have outstanding convictions in the last 5 years or open violations within the Schengen area. Navira does not forge profiles and operates strictly within the law. |

Check the readiness of your case 3 minutes
Answer the questions and understand how ready your case is. This is not a legal opinion, but a quick way to see weaknesses before paying for an escort.
Even a high self-test result does not guarantee approval. The final decision is made by the competent state body.
Checking Spain
Below are the basic requirements for accelerated acquisition of Spanish citizenship in simple and understandable language. Each item must be strictly documented by the Department of Justice.
| What's being tested | What does it mean to you | Documents | Frequent error | How does Navira help |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Living together | Cohabitation with a Spanish citizen must be legally registered in the country. | Official document on the management of the general economy issued by the authorized authority. | The absence of official fixation of the beginning of joint life or an error in the installation data. | We organize the preparation, audit of documents and full support of the fixation process in Barcelona. |
| 2 Living together | You must continuously maintain a common household and live at the same address in Spain for at least 12 months. | The current historical joint residence (Empadronamiento conjunto) from the City Hall. | Separate residence permit during the year or breaks in registration when changing housing. | We check the continuity of the residency qualification and the correctness of the extract from the register before sending it to the Ministry of Justice. |
| 3 Financial resources | The host must have an income or an amount in the general account to live in Spain. | Employment contract, IP documents (Autónomo), bank statements, IRPF tax returns. | Filing an empty statement without confirming a stable source of funds or withholding taxes. | We are building a clear, legal and transparent logic of the financial base for the inspection agency. |
| 4 Health insurance | You need a full private policy from a Spanish insurance company with maximum coverage. | Insurance policy, confirmation of payment, document on the absence of surcharges (sin copagos). | Use travel insurance or a policy with franchises and restrictions. | We help to get the right medical policy from accredited Spanish partners. |
| 5 Translations of documents | All documents not in Spanish must be officially and correctly certified. | Certificates of criminal record and certificates from the homeland with apostilles and sworn translation (Traductor Jurado). | Using a conventional notarial translation from their homeland, which Spain does not recognize. | We organize the translation of the dossier from official Spanish sworn translators entered in the register of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. |
| 6 Integration into society | You must prove your knowledge of the Spanish language, basic laws and culture of the kingdom. | Cervantes Institute Official Certificates in State Examinations DELE (from A2) and CCSE. | Attempt to apply for citizenship without passing tests or with expired certificates. | We register with accredited centers, provide relevant materials and supervised training. |
What income need to show
Financial claims are calculated on the basis of IPREM, the national income indicator in Spain. In 2026, the size of the IPREM is €600.00 per month (€7,200 per year). For citizenship, the following formula applies: a stable income of the receiving party from 100% IPREM, confirmed by the tax return for the fiscal period and the contract. In addition, it is necessary to show free capital on the general account, guaranteeing financial independence and integration of your family within the Kingdom.
| Family composition | Formula | Minimum amount per month |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Joint economy | 100% IPREM of the host party | €600 |
| 2 Recommended stable income for integration | 150% IPREM for general economy | €900 |
These amounts in the table are a rigid legislative “floor”, below which it is impossible to fall. But in order for the case to pass without additional inquiries and checks, Navira always prepares a financial base with a serious margin, focusing on real market costs in the country.
What documents needed
The exact list of documents depends on the country of submission, family composition, type of income and the chosen route. Below is a basic document map that Navira personalizes after auditing your situation.
Documents
Personality
Check the validity of the applicant's passport - at the time of applying for citizenship, it must be strictly valid. All pages are provided, including blank spreads.
To apply for an expedited one-year residence period, it is critically important to stay legally in the country on the basis of a valid residence and not have open deportation or departure orders from the EU.
Instead of control of entry, the continuity of status is checked: in the last year you must not leave the territory of Spain for a total of more than 90 days, which is strictly tracked by stamps and databases.
To apply for this five-year status, an official, correctly completed application form EX-19 and a paid state fee are used.
The official electronic form of the Ministry of Justice is used to launch the procedure. Submission is carried out remotely through a certified digital signature with simultaneous payment of the state duty.
We check the validity of resident cards, the continuity of the annual joint residence permit, the absence of critical exits by stamps and the correctness of filling in the electronic dossier to eliminate the risk of refusal.
Income
It shows the stable financial security of the couple. A Spanish citizen’s general account or personal account must contain an amount significantly higher than the annual IPREM indicator in order to confirm the full economic independence of the Union.
Documents explaining the legal nature of capital: Spanish tax returns of the host party (IRPF), statements on the accrual of wages (nominations) or documents on the receipt of dividends and income from business.
An official statement from a Spanish citizen attached to an electronic file confirming the maintenance of the general budget and the full economic security of the applicant throughout the integration period.
The Ministry of Justice should clearly see that the joint farm has a sufficient and regular resource for autonomous life in the country, and the applicant is fully integrated and does not become a burden on the state social security system.
Filing income documents is strictly on the verge of the IPREM minimum limit without demonstrating stability, the absence of fresh tax statements from a Spanish citizen or the use of closed bank accounts.
We monitor the correctness of bank certificates, compare tax returns with real balances on accounts and check the entire financial base for compliance with strict internal criteria of the Ministry of Justice.
Marriage Certificate from Registro Civil
The main legal document issued by the Spanish Civil Registry, which officially confirms your marriage to a Spanish citizen and opens the right to accelerated citizenship.
The certificate must be fresh (requested no earlier than 6 months before sending the dossier to the Ministry of Justice). We fully assume the interaction with the registry office and order the correct type of extract (Certificado Literal).
The document is analyzed by the department strictly in conjunction with a joint residence permit. The couple must prove that exactly one year of continuous cohabitation has passed since the registration of the marriage in Spain.
Receipt of payment of the state fee (model 790, code 026) for the consideration of the case by the Ministry of Justice. We form the correct check and control the passage of payment through the bank.
Filing documents with typos in their names, using outdated certificates without a fresh issuance date or sending a case before the official date is exactly 365 days from the date of marriage.
We undertake the organization of the whole process: from assistance in the correct execution of documents for the Spanish registry office and docking all dates to the final order of a fresh marriage certificate and checking its readiness for filing.
Integration examinations
Official test of knowledge of Spanish. Citizenship requires proof of at least A2. Applicants who are citizens of Spanish-speaking countries are automatically exempt from this test.
A mandatory test of knowledge of the Constitution, state structure, history and cultural realities of Spain. It consists of 25 questions, you must correctly answer at least 15 of them to successfully pass.
The CCSE certificate is valid for 4 years from the date of delivery, the DELE certificate is permanent. By the time your email file is sent to the Department of Justice, both results must be officially uploaded to the system.
The registration for the exams takes place on the official portal of the Cervantes Institute with the obligatory payment of a fixed state fee for each attempt to pass.
Attempt to send a dossier to the Ministry of Justice before receiving official assessments (Apto status), confusion in spelling a name during registration on the portal or preparation for old databases of past years.
We take care of all the bureaucracy: we select an accredited testing center in Barcelona and register you for the necessary dates. So that you do not waste time on rote learning, we select for you an experienced profile tutor who will help you quickly and easily learn the structure of tests and are guaranteed to pass both exams.
Family package (documents for children)
An official document from the home country confirming the family relationship with the applicant. On its basis, minor children can be included in the overall integration process and obtain citizenship after the parent.
The original birth certificate issued in the home country must be strictly apostilled (for member countries of the Hague Convention) and translated into Spanish exclusively by a certified sworn translator (Traductor Jurado).
If the child moves and integrates only with you, the notarial consent of the second biological parent will be required from the homeland for the child’s permanent residence in Spain and registration of Spanish citizenship.
Submission of documents without the stamp Apostille, the absence of official notarial consent from the second parent or discrepancies in spelling the names of the child and mother / father after the conclusion of a new marriage.
We clearly coordinate the collection of the package at home: we check the correctness of Apostille, organize an impeccable sworn translation in Spain and compare all the names in the chain of documents so that the Ministry of Justice does not have any questions about the rights of the child.
Insurance
If the route requires full coverage, insurance with surcharges for services requires additional verification.
If insurance only works on a after-payment money-back system, this can create risk when filing.
If coverage does not start immediately or is limited to important services, it is better to replace the policy before filing.
The travel policy usually does not meet the Digital Nomad requirements.
Analyze coverage, start date, exclusions, certificate format and insurance compliance with your case.
Incarceration
It is important to determine for which countries and periods are required certificates of criminal record.
Requirements depend on the country of issue of the document and the route of submission.
A simple translation is often not enough, even if the text of the document is clear.
The certificate has expired or there is no necessary legalization of the document.
Verify the expiration dates, countries, format of registration and compliance of the document with your submission route.
Translations and apostilles
In many cases, the document is first translated into an internationally recognized format.
The Spanish procedure often requires a sworn translation rather than a regular translator.
In the entire package of documents, the names, surnames, addresses and amounts must match.
Translate the document to apostille, allow discrepancies in the data or submit the translation in an inappropriate format.
We check the procedure for legalization, the integrity of the package of documents and the uniform format of all data.
Feed
To send documents, a specialized secure electronic portal of the Ministry of Justice of Spain is used, designed strictly for considering citizenship cases.
Instead of migration forms, a detailed digital application form is correctly filled in, and a mandatory state fee on Form 790 with code 026 is generated and paid.
The presentation of the case occurs strictly in digital form. The dossier is signed by the applicant’s personal electronic certificate (Certificado Digital) or sent through the closed professional gateway of an accredited Spanish lawyer.
Each document is converted into a strictly defined PDF format by the Ministry of Justice. After sending it, it is critically important to monitor the e-cabinet daily so as not to miss automatic notifications and requests from the department.
Paying the fee using the wrong code, incorrect download of files, which causes the system to fail, or missing a strict state deadline for the provision of requested documents.
We fully take on the technical side: correctly encode and download all files, control the posting of the fee and constantly monitor your case until the final positive decision is received.
After obtaining approval
After approval, we help you register with the Registrar Civil or notary for the solemn oath of allegiance to the King and the Constitution of Spain, after which you receive a national identity card (DNI) and a passport.
This status gives you the unconditional and full rights of a citizen of Spain and the European Union from day one: the right to vote in elections, visa-free entry to more than 190 countries and the opportunity to live and work anywhere in the EU.
We check the correctness of entering your data in the Spanish Civil Registry, since the issuance of a Spanish birth certificate (Certificado de Nacimiento) is the main basis for the final release of documents.
Unlike any residence card (TIE), citizenship is granted permanently and does not require renewal. You will need to update only the physical plastic cards themselves: DNI (every 5-10 years) and a passport.
Unlike study visas, this residence permit does not need to be renewed every year. The status is issued immediately for 5 years, after which a permanent residence (Residencia permanente) is requested.
Missing the strict 180-day period set by law for taking the oath after receiving approval (Resolución de concesión), or errors in the transliteration of the name and maiden name when transferred to Spanish databases.
We will lead you by the hand at every stage: from the first check of documents for children and financial logic to electronic submission to the Ministry of Justice, the record for oath and final escort until you pick up your Spanish passport.
Law in plain language
We're not hiding the legal basis. Each paragraph below is linked to an official source and translated into document language.
1 Who is eligible for accelerated citizenship in 1 year
This is the legal right of a foreigner who is officially married to a Spanish citizen to apply for Spanish citizenship after only 1 year of continuous legal residence and joint economy in the country.
Official marriage certificate from the Spanish registry office (Registro Civil), joint historical residence, valid passports of both parties, residence card (TIE) of the applicant and certificates of successfully passed exams of the Cervantes Institute.
Submission of documents before the official age is exactly 365 days from the date of marriage or from the date of receipt of the primary residence card, as well as exceeding the limit of departures from Spain (more than 90 days per year).
Verifies the continuity of your annual residency status, monitors the absence of critical stamped exits and builds a legally flawless integration confirmation system for the Department of Justice.
2 Registration of marriage in Registro Civil of Spain
The basis of the process is the official recognition and consolidation of the marriage union in the Spanish legal field, which acts as the main and uncompromising legal foundation for the launch of the annual settlement.
A fresh full statement of marriage (Certificado Literal de Matrimonio), issued by the Spanish Civil Registry not earlier than 6 months before the dossier was sent to the Ministry of Justice.
Attempt to apply for citizenship on the basis of marriage concluded abroad, without its prior mandatory registration and legalization in the Central registry office of Spain (Registro Civil Central).
Coordinates and organizes the whole process: from help in the correct registration and submission of documents for the Spanish registry office to order a fresh final marriage certificate, fully ready for the Ministry of Justice.
3 Financial viability of the joint venture
Accelerated citizenship requires demonstrating to the Ministry of Justice that a couple has a stable, legal income in Spain, ensuring that the new family is economically independent.
Spanish tax returns (IRPF) of the host party, payroll statements (nominations), employment contracts or current certificate of balance in the general account exceeding the annual IPREM indicators.
Filing financial documents where revenues are strictly on the verge of a minimum limit without demonstrating their stability, or using closed and opaque banking products.
Analyzes the income of the receiving party, compares tax reporting with real balances on accounts and calculates the balance under strict internal criteria of the department.
4 Legality and linkage of sources of funds
It is necessary to prove that the joint budget of the couple has a transparent, legal origin and is inextricably linked with legal economic activities in Spain.
A valid indefinido contract (contrato indefinido) of a Spanish citizen spouse, documents on conducting business as an Autónomo, or official confirmation of receipt of dividends and payment of taxes to the Spanish treasury.
Demonstration of large amounts in accounts without proof of their legal origin in Spain or complete absence of tax statements from the host spouse.
Detailed study of the financial background of the family and helps to perfectly match legal sources of income with the final dossier, reducing the risk of inspections and inquires to zero.
5 Continuous joint registration
A critical condition is the official confirmation of the fact of continuous cohabitation of the spouses at the same address in Spain throughout the mandatory year.
Historical joint extract from the register of residents (Volante/Certificado de Empadronamiento Histórico Conjunto), issued by the local municipality (Ajuntament).
The presence of “gaps” in the registration dates, mismatch of spouses’ addresses during the base year or change of residence immediately before submitting documents without notifying the department.
Checks the historical collective statement for the absolute continuity of the dates of cohabitation under the strict requirements of the regulations on citizenship.
6 Integration exams (Instituto Cervantes)
A mandatory condition of the law is the confirmation of successful integration into Spanish society through the passing of two official tests from the Cervantes Institute (language and cultural studies).
Official perpetual certificate DELE (level not lower than A2) and valid CCSE certificate of knowledge of the laws, constitution and culture of Spain (year 4). Citizens of Spanish-speaking countries are exempt from DELE.
Attempt to send an electronic dossier to the Ministry of Justice before the publication of official assessments (Apto) or preparation for outdated databases of past issues.
Registers you at an accredited testing center in Barcelona and selects for you an experienced profile tutor who will help you quickly and easily learn the structure of tests for guaranteed delivery.
7 Social and health care
The applicant must prove his or her full integration into the social and medical system of the Kingdom by proving that there are no debts and burdens on the state budget.
A state health insurance card (TSI), confirmation of the link to the social insurance system (Seguridad Social) of the working spouse, or a full private Spanish policy without additional payments (sin copagos).
Provision of policies with restrictions and deductibles, as well as the lack of confirmation of eligibility for full medical care in Spain within the downloaded dossier.
Analyzes your current health care status in Spain and helps to properly link the card to the spouse’s social insurance system or selects a flawless private policy from partners.
8 Sworn translations of documents for children and certificates from home
All personal documents of the applicant (and his minor children, if included in the case) issued outside Spain must have international legalization and official translation.
Certificate of criminal record from the homeland with Apostille, birth certificate of the applicant and children with Apostille, official translations made by a certified Spanish translator (Traductor Jurado).
Providing certificates from an expired homeland (they must be no older than 3-6 months) or using ordinary notarial translations made outside Spain.
Controls the expiration dates of civil status documents, checks for the correct Apostilles and organizes the prompt production of official Jurado sworn translations in Spain.
9 Electronic Submission to the Ministry of Justice and Oath to the King
The whole case is sent online to the private portal of the Ministry of Justice, and after the long-awaited approval, you go through the procedure of swearing in and get a full passport of a Spanish and EU citizen.
Electronic application, paid state fee (model 790, code 026), decision of approval (Resolución de concesión), Spanish birth certificate, oath record.
Errors in the technical uploading of heavy files to the Ministry of Justice portal, incorrect duty code or missing the strict 180-day period set by law for taking the oath after approval.
It issues you a digital signature, unmistakably generates and sends a digital dossier through the lawyer’s gateway, fully monitors the status of the case through the DEHú notification system, records the oath to a notary or to the registry office and accompanies you until you obtain a national passport and DNI.
How to do it independently
You can go through this procedure yourself if you have a simple case, a clear source of income, a full package of documents and enough time to prepare. Below is a step-by-step plan that will help you understand the process and avoid typical mistakes.
Check the basic conditions and terms of settling
Make sure you have lived in Spain as a legal resident (with TIE) for at least 1 year and have been married to a Spanish citizen.
Create a financial and medical dossier
Collect IRPFs, employment contracts, and spouse’s denominations for the past year to confirm family income. Also prepare a TSI or private insurance at no extra cost (sin copagos).
Pass mandatory integration exams
Register on the Cervantes Institute portal and take the DELE (from A2 if you are not from a Spanish speaking country) and CCSE exams. Wait for the results with Apto status - without them, filing is impossible.
Legalize and transfer documents from home (and package for children)
Prepare a criminal record, birth certificate and children's documents if they are filed with you. All originals must be with Apostille and Traductor Jurado translation.
Request a fresh marriage certificate from Registro Civil
Order the full Certificado Literal de Matrimonio from Registro Civil. The document is valid only 6 months from the date of issue.
Pay the fee 790-026 and send the file online
Pay the fee 790-026, fill out the form on the platform of the Ministry of Justice, download PDF-documents and sign the application through Certificado Digital.
Make a historical joint residence permit
Ask the City Hall for the Certificado de Empadronamiento Histórico Conjunto. The document must confirm cohabitation with the spouse without interruptions for the last year.
Take the Oath to the King and Get a Spanish Passport
Once approved, you will have 180 days to take the oath at Registro Civil or a notary. Then, on the basis of a Spanish birth certificate, DNI and a Spanish passport are issued.
Self serving is not suitable for everyone. Mistakes in the itinerary, insurance, contract, or financial model can result in wasted time, requests, and rejection.
Who needs an escortWhen is best to go professionally accompanied
Information is available to everyone. But when the cost of error is higher than the cost of system training, choose Navira.
Documents from country of origin and children
A complex chain of documents: strict requirements for the validity of certificates of criminal record and birth, the mandatory presence of correct apostilles, the legalization of consents from second parents to children and checking the change of surnames in all certificates.
Sponsorship, income and taxes
Mixed income, remote work, or host party savings. It is important to perfectly match the data of the Spanish tax returns (IRPF) and account statements, so that the Ministry of Justice does not see in the case fictitiousness or financial instability of the union.
Electronic filing and digital certificates
It is necessary to correctly issue a digital signature, configure cryptographic plugins, accurately fill out a voluminous state questionnaire on the Ministry of Justice portal and convert dozens of heavy files strictly into a regulated PDF format without losing the quality of stamps.
There was a refusal or request
The Ministry of Justice sends systemic inquiries due to the slightest gap in the historical registration or doubts about the authenticity of documents. Responding to such notifications in the DEHú system without a lawyer is a huge risk of getting a final refusal.
Financial logic
If the host Spaniard does not have a permanent contract (contrato indefinido) or if the couple has had lengthy departures from the country, it will be necessary to build a strong, legally reasoned strategy so that the agency does not doubt your absolute integration.
After approval
Control of the decision, expeditious transfer of the case to the oath stage, catching scarce records (cita) in the registry office or to a certified notary for swearing the oath to the King within a strict 180-day time limit, as well as final escort to the police for the DNI and passport.

Navira only works with real documents. We identify weaknesses in advance, but we do not create fictions instead of facts. If you don't have a real reason, the right way is not to draw documents, but to choose another route or prepare the ground legally. Fictitious documents can lead to refusal, cancellation of the visa and problems in future applications.

Client case
Rahul and Priya
India / Mumbai / Mobile Developers
Rahul works as a mobile developer and has been working remotely with a foreign company for several years. Over time, the couple began to think about moving to Europe - they wanted to live in a calmer environment and have more opportunities to travel and live outside of India.
They chose Spain and applied for a Digital Nomad visa through the Consulate General of Spain in Mumbai. Most of the time was spent preparing documents from the employer and confirming a stable income, but the process itself turned out to be clearer than they expected.
Now the couple has already received resident cards and is settling in Spain. According to Rahul, the most unusual thing after Mumbai was the slower pace of life and the opportunity to better separate work and personal time, while remaining at the same level of income.
Client case
Vikram
India / Nashik / Architect
Vikram worked as an architect in Nashik and mainly worked on private residential projects. After being laid off at the company, he began looking for remote work opportunities outside of India, but was faced with the fact that it was impossible to apply for a Digital Nomad visa without an international contract.
We helped him find an employer and prepare a contract with a European company, after which we began preparing documents for moving to Spain. The main emphasis when applying was to confirm specialized education, work experience and stable income under a foreign contract.
Now Vikram has already received a resident card and continues to work remotely on international projects. The family remains in India for now, but he plans to formalize the reunion later. Since moving, he says it has become easier to focus on work and plan for the future without the constant uncertainty he faced after losing his job back home.
Client case
Amina
Nigeria / Lagos / Nursing student
Amina came to Spain for long-term language courses even before the changes in migration legislation in 2025. During her studies, she decided to continue her education in Spain and applied to the nursing program in Teruel.
We helped her prepare documents for homologation of the certificate, process admission and change of status within Spain without the need to leave the country. According to Amina, what took the most time was collecting documents and waiting for responses from different departments.
Now Amina has already begun her studies and is adapting to life in Spain. She says that the move gave her a sense of stability and the opportunity to make long-term plans related to her studies and future profession.
Client case
Hasan and Fatima
Pakistan / Karachi / Senior UI/UX Designer
Hassan has worked as a UI/UX designer for many years on international projects and collaborated with foreign teams remotely. After the birth of their daughter, the family began to seriously think about moving and a quieter living environment.
We helped Hasan select a contract with an international company that met the requirements of the Digital Nomad visa, and prepared a complete package of documents for submission. Documents were submitted through the Consulate General of Spain in Karachi. According to Hasan, the work that took the most time was the approval of documents by the employer and the preparation of financial confirmations.
Now the family already lives in Spain and has received resident cards. Hasan continues to work remotely in the same field, and Fatima is busy adapting the family to a new life. They say that after moving, they especially began to appreciate the calmer pace of life and the opportunity to spend more time together.
Client case
Lina
Kazakhstan / Almaty / Digital Marketing Specialist
Lina worked at a marketing agency in Almaty and managed projects for foreign clients. Over time, she wanted to try living in Europe.
Lina came to Spain on a tourist visa, after which she contacted us to register Digital Nomad within the country. We helped her prepare proof of income, collect a package of documents and submit an application in Spain.
As a result, Lina received the Digital Nomad residence for 3 years and now lives in Madrid. She continues to work in digital marketing remotely.
Client case
Kwame
Ghana / Accra / Data Analyst
Kwame worked as a data analyst for an international fintech company and collaborated remotely with a UK team based in Accra. Over time, he began to consider moving to Europe to live in a more stable environment while continuing to work internationally.
To obtain a Digital Nomad visa, Kwame turned to us for assistance. We helped him prepare a package of documents, confirm remote employment and prepare financial documents for submission through the Spanish Embassy in Accra. According to Kwame, the work that took the most time was preparing documents from the employer and tax confirmations.
After approval, Kwame moved to Malaga and received a resident card. Now he continues to work remotely in the field of data analytics and is gradually adapting to life in Spain. He says that after the move he began to better separate work and personal time, which he previously lacked.
Client case
Ekaterina
Russia / Moscow / English teacher
Ekaterina worked as an English tutor for several years and taught both individual lessons and online groups for students from Moscow. Most of her work had long been done remotely, so the idea of moving to Spain came quite naturally - without the need to change profession or look for a new job.
Ekaterina came to Spain on a tourist visa, and we applied for Digital Nomad within the country through UGE. We helped her prepare proof of income from private practice, online platforms and regular students. An important advantage was that she did not have to interrupt classes even while completing paperwork.
A positive decision came after 19 days.
Client case
Lida and Dima
Russia / Kaliningrad / 3D Interior Designer + doctor
Lida worked as a 3D interior designer and collaborated with clients remotely, while Dima was building a career in medicine. When the family began to think about moving, they decided to register Digital Nomad specifically for Lida, since her work fully met the requirements of the program.
The family came to Spain on tourist visas with their little daughter. While they were searching for housing and adapting, we prepared a case for submission within the country through UGE. The main emphasis was placed on Lida’s portfolio, international customers and confirmation of stable remote income.
After approval, the whole family immediately received a residence for 3 years and received TIE cards. Additionally, we helped Lida register as an autonoma. Now the family is settling into a new place, and Dima is preparing documents for the homologation of a medical diploma.

What might go wrongly
We're honest about the risks. We do not scare, but create a safe relocation strategy, in which every step is taken into account and insured.
| Situation | What the problem looks like | What are we doing | Why is it important |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Exceeding the exit limit | According to the stamps in the passport, the total period of stay outside Spain for the base year exceeds the permissible 90 days. | We calculate in detail every day by border marks, verify flights within the Schengen area and find legitimate arguments to justify trips. | Exceeding the exit limit for at least one day zeroes the annual settlement and leads to an automatic refusal of the Ministry of Justice. |
| 2 The gap in the historical registration | The dates in the collective statement (Empadronamiento Histórico) have gaps or temporarily do not coincide with the address of the Spaniard spouse. | We conduct an audit of housing history, compare data with the invoice of utility bills and, if necessary, request archival confirmation from the City Hall. | The Department of Justice requires reinforced concrete proof of continuous cohabitation exactly 365 days before filing. |
| 3 Insufficient income of the spouse | Spanish tax returns (IRPF) of the host country show income on the verge of a living wage or contain zero figures. | We connect our financial expert, compare the balances of general accounts, confirm other assets and build a strong case economic logic. | The Office must clearly see that the joint venture is stable, autonomous and firmly integrated into the Spanish economy. |
| 4 A complicated case with children | Minor children from previous marriages are included, but documents from the homeland are incorrect. | We verify the chain of surnames, organize the affixing of Apostilles and help to draw up impeccable notarial consent from the second parent. | Errors in custody or consent will result in your child being denied the right to expedited citizenship. |
| 5 Specificity of certificates from the homeland | Certificates of criminal record or birth certificates are overdue or translated from the wrong specialist. | We strictly control the “freshness” of the certificates (no older than 3-6 months), check the Apostilles and make translations exclusively from Spanish jury interpreters (Jurado). | The Ministry of Justice instantly rejects expired documents or ordinary notarial translations made outside Spain. |
| 6 There was a previous rejection | The complainant attempts to resubmit the dossier without understanding the reasons for the Justice Department's past refusal. | We request and thoroughly analyze the official state refusal (Resolución de denegación), eliminate legal gaps and completely change the strategy. | Point correction of system errors allows you to completely clear the migration history and get approval on the second attempt. |
| 7 Request from the Ministry of Justice (Requerimiento) | The Ministry of Justice, through the DEHú system, received an official notification demanding explanations or documents. | Navira’s lawyer promptly accepts the notification, analyzes the official’s claims within 24 hours, compiles a legal response and downloads the missing files. | Although the law gives more time to respond than Estonia, any delay or incorrect document freezes the case for months to come. |

Frequent questions on spanish citizenship
The FAQ covers the client’s main issues: route, income, family, insurance, cost, risks, taxes and life after approval.
1 What is the period of validity of certificates from the homeland for Spanish departments?
The Ministry of Justice and migration authorities of Spain very strictly check the relevance of documents of civil status and certificates of criminal record. As a general rule, they should not be older than 3-6 months at the time of official registration of your electronic dossier in the system. If the document is overdue at least for a day, the department will issue an additional request or immediately return the case.
2 Is it possible to make a sworn translation (Traductor Jurado) at home?
Nope. Spanish public authorities accept translations made exclusively by certified sworn translators accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Spain (Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores). Ordinary notarial translations made at a translation agency in the home country do not have legal force for this procedure in Spain.
3 How to count the days of stay in Spain, so as not to reset the status?
Continuity of residence is checked strictly on the stamps of entry and exit in your passport. If you have flown inside the Schengen area without passing passport control, it is critical to keep all boarding passes and tickets. Any excess of the statutory limits of stay outside Spain automatically cancels the period of accumulated settlement.
4 What should I do if my personal data has changed during the hearing?
If you change your name, obtain a new passport or change the address of permanent registration in Spain, you must immediately notify the office through the electronic gateway. Any discrepancies between the data in the file and your current documents at the decision stage will block the final process.
5 How much time is allowed to take the oath after approval?
The law sets a strict and uncompromising deadline of exactly 180 days from the date of official notification of a positive decision. If the applicant does not have time to register with the Registrar Civil or notary and take the oath of allegiance to the Constitution and the King during this period, the approved status is completely canceled without the right of restoration.
6 Can I leave Spain after the file has been sent?
After sending the documents and until the final decision is issued, you can leave the country, but extremely carefully. You must remain a legal resident for the entire period of the case. In addition, you should have constant access to your personal account or notification system to promptly respond to a possible request from a government official.
7 How long do exam results last?
DELE language exam (A2 level and above): Has no statute of limitations. The diploma is issued once and lasts a lifetime. CCSE Culture and Constitution Test: It has a limited duration. The Electronic Certificate of Success (APTO) is valid for exactly 4 years from the date of delivery. It is necessary to send the file to the department before the expiration of this period.
8 Where exactly can I take these exams?
Both exams are administered by the Instituto Cervantes. The transfer takes place strictly in person at state-accredited testing centers (it can be language schools, official academies or universities). You have the right to choose any convenient center and free date on the map of Spain, binding to the region of your residence is not required. Recording and payment of fees take place exclusively online on the official portal of the Instituto Cervantes.
9 What is the Culture and Law Test (CCSE)?
The CCSE exam consists of 25 closed-choice questions (a choice of three suggested or a right/wrong format). The test lasts 45 minutes. To successfully pass and obtain APTO status, it is enough to correctly answer at least 15 questions out of 25. All questions are randomly selected by the computer system from an official open database containing exactly 300 questions that can be learned in advance.
10 What is the language exam (DELE A2)?
This is a full-fledged multi-level language exam, which is divided into 4 mandatory blocks: Reading: Understanding simple texts, ads, and letters (60 minutes) Letter: self-filled questionnaires, writing a short essay or a household letter (45 minutes). Listening: listening to audio recordings, dialogues and announcements (40 minutes). Conversational speech: a live oral interview with a Spanish examiner, a monologue on a given topic and a picture dialogue (15 minutes). To pass the exam, you must score a minimum of 60 points out of 100, and the minimum threshold must be overcome in each of the two groups (Reading + Letter and Listening + Speaking).
