We help in processing documents for residents of the following regions: CIS countries, Middle East and North Africa, Asia, Anglo-Saxon countries, Latin America.

Provide an official matrix (enrollment), accreditation of the educational institution, course payment and medical insurance.
Complete relocation
After approval, we will help to open a bank account, find housing, obtain a residence permit, arrange children in school or garden and successfully adapt to Spain.
Is it right for you residence
If you genuinely like your chosen course, the program is inspiring and you want to link your future with Spain, this status will be the perfect, easy and completely legal start to your journey.
Suitable |
|---|
| You're enrolled in full-time education. You are enrolled in an accredited university, business school or certified language academy in Spain. |
| There's official confirmation. You have a matricula (document of admission), confirmation of full payment for the course and a detailed curriculum from the institution. |
| Financial guarantees are fine. Your account has an amount from €7,200 per year of study (at 100% IPREM per month) with proof of the legal origin of the funds. |
| We have the right insurance. You have a full policy from a Spanish company with no surcharges (sin copagos), no limits and franchises, valid from the first day of study. |
| You want to include the family. The family can travel with you if there is a surcharge on the account: about €5,400 per spouse and €3,600 per child per year of residence. |
| You want the legal way. All documents (including apostilled certificates and certified translations) reflect the real situation and are ready for inspection. |
Not suitable/needs another way |
|---|
| There is no real enrollment in the course. The institution does not have the necessary accreditation of the Cervantes Institute or the Spanish Ministry of Education to issue visas. |
| Funds in the account cannot be confirmed. If there is no minimum amount in the account or the money appeared suddenly before filing without a legal explanation, the agency will issue a refusal. |
| You only plan to work. Student status gives you the right to part-time work up to 30 hours a week, but study must remain your main and main goal. |
| You chose online learning. Distance, correspondence or evening courses do not entitle you to a Spanish residence. The format should be strictly eye-to-eye. |
| There's no insurance or it's inappropriate. A tourist policy won't do. You need a full Spanish medical card with maximum coverage for the whole year. |
| You are asked to “make documents”. Navira does not forge bank certificates, school certificates or legalization of documents. We work strictly within the law. |
What gives student residence
This status opens the door to a prestigious European education and international career. You get the right to live legally in Spain, work part time while studying and lay a reliable foundation for further emigration.
Legal status
You can live in Spain legally and forget about the restrictions of the tourist regime, which allows you to stay here only 90 days.
Study and work
You officially get the right to work up to 30 hours a week directly during your studies, legally combining obtaining a European diploma and building a career.
Family route
Your loved ones can apply at the same time as you or join later. For each family member, we collect and prepare a separate package of documents.
Plan after approval
After obtaining the status, we will help to open a bank account, issue a residence permit, get a TIE card from the police, as well as arrange children in local schools or a garden.
Check the readiness of your case 3 minutes
Answer the questions and understand how ready your case is. This is not a legal opinion, but a quick way to see weaknesses before paying for an escort.
Even a high self-test result does not guarantee approval. The final decision is made by the competent state body.
Checking Spain
Below are the basic requirements for student residence in simple and understandable language. Each item must be documented.
| What's being tested | What does it mean to you | Documents | Frequent error | How does Navira help |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Educational institution and course | Your school or university must have official accreditation, and the program must have the right to issue visas. | Matricula (enrollment), curriculum, confirmation of course payment, school license. | Submission of documents from the school without accreditation of the Cervantes Institute or the Ministry of Education. | We check the educational institution on the state registers of Spain before payment. |
| 2 Format of training | Study should be strictly full-time, full-time and long-term (from 20 hours a week). | Official invitation from the school indicating the hours and forms of study, schedule. | Trying to apply with an online course, evening or hybrid training program. | Adjust the invitation from the school to the wording in accordance with the law. |
| 3 Financial resources | You need to show the amount on the account based on IPREM requirements (from €7,200 per year per person + family surcharges). | Bank statement, certificate of movement of funds, sponsorship letter, legal source of money. | The account has the right amount, but it is absolutely unclear where the person got it. | We build a clear and understandable logic of the origin of your funds for the migration service. |
| 4 Health insurance | You need a full policy from a Spanish insurance company with maximum coverage. | Insurance policy, confirmation of payment, document on the absence of surcharges and deductibles. | Use of travel insurance or a policy with surcharges for visits (con copagos). | We help you get the right policy from accredited Spanish partners. |
| 5 No criminal record | Adult applicants need to confirm that there are no problems with the law. | Proof of criminal record from the countries of residence, apostille, official translation of Jurado. | Submission of an expired certificate (it is valid only 3-6 months) or the absence of an apostille. | We control the validity of certificates and coordinate the process of correct legalization. |
| 6 Medical certificate | You need to prove that you do not have diseases that are dangerous to others according to WHO rules. | Medical certificate of the established sample (form 082 / y or Spanish equivalent). | Incorrect wording of the doctor in the certificate, because of which the consulate requires to redo the document. | We provide an accurate text template for the doctor, which is guaranteed to be accepted by the department. |
| 7 Translations of documents | All documents not in Spanish must be officially and correctly translated. | Certified translations by a sworn translator (Traductor Jurado). | Normal notarial translation from home country, which Spain often does not recognize. | We arrange the translation of documents from official Spanish sworn translators. |
| 8 Accompanying family | When moving with loved ones, the requirements for money on the account and documents multiply. | Marriage/birth certificates with apostilles, confirmation of increased finances. | Submission of documents of relatives without apostilles or lack of funds for the family limit. | Check the case of each family member and calculate the exact amount for the total account. |
What income need to show
Financial requirements are calculated on the basis of IPREM - the national subsistence index in Spain. In 2026, the base IPREM is €600 per month. For student residence, the following formula applies: 100% IPREM for the main applicant-student, +75% IPREM for the second family member and +50% IPREM for each subsequent relative.
| Family composition | Formula | Amount per year of study (12 months) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 1 applicant (student) | 100% IPREM | €7 200 |
| 2 Applicant + spouse(s) | 100% + 75% IPREM | €12 600 |
| 3 Applicant + spouse(s) + 1 child | 100% + 75% + 50% IPREM | €16 200 |
| 4 Applicant + spouse(s) + 2 children | 100% + 75% + 50% + 50% + IPREM | €19 800 |
This amount or more must be confirmed as a stable monthly income, depending on the number of family members included in the filing.
What documents needed
The exact list of documents depends on the country of submission, family composition, type of income and the chosen route. Below is a basic document map that Navira personalizes after auditing your situation.
Documents
Personality
Check the validity period (at least for the entire period of study), all pages with stamps, visas and marks.
If you are applying within the country, it is important to be here legally and have enough days left until the end of the visa-free period.
If there are declarations, certificates or certificates, it is better to include them in the general financial logic.
Required when applying from Spain: a stamp in the passport about crossing the border or issued by the police declaration of entry (Declaración de entrada).
To submit documents for student status, an official correctly completed application form EX-00 and a paid fee are used.
Filing in the last days of legal stay, no stamp on entry to Spain (if you flew with a transfer in Schengen) or expired passport.
Validity of certificates, school accreditation, exact dates in the EX-00 form and legal entry to avoid automatic denial.
Proof of income
Shows real activity on the account, not just a static amount that could have been borrowed for one day to obtain a certificate.
Certificate from work (his own or sponsor), IP declaration, documents on the sale of property or receipt of dividends, explaining the appearance of money.
If you are funded by relatives, their official income, bank accounts and a letter of guarantee certified by a notary are required.
The immigration authorities should clearly see: the applicant has not only €7,200 to live on, but also an understandable source to cover the rental costs.
Show an “empty” account with a sudden deposit made before filing, for which there are no legalizing documents.
We assess not only the balance, but also the history of transactions, help to properly issue sponsorship and dock income with statements to exclude additional requests.
Educational institution
The official document (matricle) must explicitly state that the course is full-time, long-term and requires your personal presence in Spain.
It is important to confirm that the school or university has a valid license from the Ministry of Education of Spain or the Cervantes Institute (for language courses).
Detailed course program, which shows the number of hours (from 20 hours per week), class schedule and dates of the beginning and end of the semester.
An official invoice and bank receipt proving that the course is fully paid for the whole year ahead, rather than simply booked.
The invitation does not specify a face-to-face format (written “online” or “hybrid”), the school does not have the right to issue visa documents, or the course lasts less than a year.
The relationship between the dates on the invitation, the course payment, the duration of your insurance and the dates of your planned entry into Spain.
Medical certificate
An official medical document certifying that you do not have any medical conditions that could seriously damage public health.
The certificate must contain a strictly defined text with reference to the International Health Regulations 2005.
A standard state form 082/y (when submitted at the consulate) or an official report from a Spanish licensed doctor is suitable.
If the certificate is not issued in Spain, it must be translated by a certified translator (Traductor Jurado).
Using a free form from a doctor without mentioning the 2005 International Health Regulations, which leads to immediate abandonment.
We provide an accurate, proven template for the clinic and control the correctness of the wording and the date of issuance of the certificate before sending it for translation.
Family package
Official certificates of marriage and birth of children will be required, on which it is necessary to put an apostille and make a sworn translation of Jurado.
Only legal spouses and minor children can travel with the student. It is impossible to bring parents or adult siblings to this type of residence.
The amount on the account increases according to the IPREM formula: +€4,320 per year for the first family member (75%) and +€3,600 per year for each subsequent one (50%).
Filing a family without apostilles on the original certificates of the registry office or a lack of money in a bank account under increased family limits.
Validity of criminal records and medical certificates for each adult family member, correct calculation of the total balance on the account and legalization of documents.
Insurance
The Spanish Migration Service does not accept travel policies and travel insurance. We need a full-fledged internal policy.
If under the terms of the contract, you must pay part of the costs of treatment yourself, such a document is guaranteed to cause a refusal.
The policy should be strictly free of charges for visits to doctors (sin copagos). Every consultation, analysis or hospitalization should be completely free.
The insurance contract must necessarily and separately specify a clause on covering the costs of repatriation to the country of citizenship in emergency cases.
Analyze the contract, the start date (the policy must work from the first day of study), the format of the certificate and help to issue the correct policy from accredited companies.
Incarceration
It is important to determine exactly from which countries you need no criminal record certificates in the last 5 years (for all applicants over the age of 18).
The document must be apostilled in the country that issued it. The stamp is placed on the original reference, not on its translation.
The translation must be performed exclusively by a Spanish sworn translator. Notarial translations from your country will not be accepted.
The certificate expired (for Spain it is only 3-6 months from the date of issue) or the translation was made by an ordinary notary, not Jurado.
The date of issuance, the presence of an apostille stamp, the correct spelling of the name as in the passport and the absence of criminal records in all countries for 3 years.
Translations and apostilles
The document is first brought into an international format - the apostille stamp is placed strictly on the original certificate or certificate, and not on its copy.
The translation is performed exclusively by a Spanish sworn translator from a scan of an already apostilled document, so that the apostille stamp itself is also translated.
In the entire package of documents (matricule, insurance, certificates and passport), the spelling of your name and surname in Latin must strictly coincide.
Make a translation before apostille is affixed, because of which the stamp remains without translation, or submit a notarial translation instead of a jury.
We control the step-by-step procedure for legalization, verify the translation of names in certificates with a foreign passport and prepare documents for submission without the risk of additional requests.
Feed
The official electronic migration portal is used to submit documents within Spain, not the UGE agency for investors.
It is important to accurately fill out the EX-00 form, generate and pay the mandatory state fee 790-052 for your type of training.
The application takes place online with the personal digital signature (Certificado Digital) of the applicant or through an accredited lawyer.
Each document must be uploaded in the correct PDF format. It is extremely important to keep track of your personal account so as not to miss out on requerimientos.
Attempt to submit a student case through channels for nomads, incorrect selection of subcode in duty 790 or missing a 10-day response period to the request.
Technical readiness of the digital signature, correctness of filling the fee, readability of scans and readiness for prompt response to the department.
After obtaining approval
After the approval of the status, we help to catch a complex record (cita) to the police for fingerprints, fill out the duty 790-012 and obtain a TIE plastic card.
We help to choose and rent a room, apartment or place in a student residence without Spanish guarantors, and then issue a mandatory residence permit (Empadronamiento).
If you move with children, we coordinate the process of enrolling them in local schools according to your residence permit (empadronamiento) within the deadlines set by the state.
Higher education gives the automatic right to work up to 30 hours, for language courses we issue a permit separately. We help you understand the legal limitations.
We help to extend the educational status (Prórroga) in time for the next year or change it to a full-fledged residence permit with the right to work (Modificación) without leaving Spain.
We lead you by the hand at every stage: from the selection of an accredited school and financial logic to obtaining a plastic resident card and household adaptation.
Law in plain language
We explain official claims in simple language and show how they are documented.
1 Who is an international student in Spain
This is a foreigner who comes to Spain for long-term full-time study at an accredited institution.
Invitation (matricle), confirmation of course payment, curriculum, passport, account statement.
Submit documents from a school or language academy that is not authorized to issue educational invitations.
Checks the status of the educational institution in the state register and builds a clear system of supporting documents.
2 Full-time format and intensity of training
It is important to show that your studies do require a personal presence and take up to 20 hours a week.
School curriculum, class schedule, official certificate of enrollment with hours.
The invitation specifies an online or hybrid course format, which guarantees instant rejection.
Checks the wording of the educational institution and helps to get the right invitation under the requirements of the regulations.
3 Financial viability of the applicant
A student residence requires proof of the full amount of income (from €7,200 per year) and the legality of income.
Account statement for 3-6 months, certificates of income (their own or sponsor), sponsorship letter.
Show an empty account with a deposit made yesterday without documents explaining the origin of the money.
Checks the income model before filing and calculates the required balance on the account taking into account the family.
4 Legality of source of funds
It is necessary to prove to the migration service that the money for study and life is earned honestly, not borrowed.
Tax returns, certificates from work, contracts for the sale of property, statements of accrual of funds.
Providing a certificate of account balance without a history of real credits and sources of income.
Checks whether the case has a confirmed history of the origin of funds to exclude additional requests.
5 Accreditation of the educational institution
It is important to show that the institution has an official license from the Ministry of Education of Spain or the Cervantes Institute.
School license, registration number in the register of educational institutions (RUCT), accreditation certificates.
Choosing cheap courses in organizations without accreditation that are not eligible to accept foreign students.
Verifies evidence of the existence and state activity of the educational institution before submitting documents.
6 Conformity of the background and the logic of changing the profession
It is important to justify why you chose this course and how it relates to your past education or career.
Previous diplomas, CV, motivation letter for migration service, language certificates.
Submission to language courses at the entry level in the presence of higher education without a clear motivation letter.
It helps to create a strong motivational letter and build a logical connection between past experience and study.
7 Unpaid health insurance
It is important to confirm full medical coverage in Spain, which completely replaces public medicine.
Spanish insurance policy, certificate of coverage without surcharges (sin copagos), check for payment of insurance.
Use travel insurance or a franchised policy for each visit to the doctor.
Checks what form of insurance policy is suitable for the requirements of a particular province of Spain.
8 Jury translations and legalization
All documents not in Spanish must be properly legalized and certified by an official translator.
Certificate of criminal record with apostille, medical certificate, certificates of registry office, translations from Traductor Jurado.
Do the usual notarial translation in your home country instead of the Spanish Jurado translation.
Organizes apostilles and remotely prepares official sworn translations from accredited specialists.
9 Terms, fees and receipt of TIE card
It is important to understand the rules of electronic filing, payment of fees and the next steps after the approval of the residence.
Form EX-00, fee paid 790-052, approval decision, fee TIE 790-012, print entry.
Miss the 10-day deadline for responding to a request for documents due to not tracking your personal account.
Explains the entire route: monitors the status of the case on the Mercurio platform and helps you sign up for a TIE.
How to do it independently
You can go through this procedure yourself if you have a simple case, a clear source of income, a full package of documents and enough time to prepare. Below is a step-by-step plan that will help you understand the process and avoid typical mistakes.
Choosing a strategy, school and learning format
Compare school residence with other legalization options. Decide on the direction - the right to work depends on it. The course must be full-time and the institution must be accredited.
Prepare personal documents and certificates
Collect passports, photos, D visa forms and a housing contract. You need a certificate of criminal record for 3 years and a medical certificate 082 / y with the wording according to the rules of MSME-2005.
Get an official invitation from the school
Pay for the course. Ask the institution for a matricula (confirmation of enrollment), curriculum, class schedule, and an official fiscal check for full payment of the entire cost.
Legalizing Documents (Apostille and Jurado Translation)
Put an apostille on the original certificates of non-conviction and documents of the registry office. Translate the entire package into Spanish exclusively by a sworn translator (traductor jurado).
Confirm financial independence
Provide an account statement with the amount under the annual requirements of the IPREM qualification (from €7,200 per applicant). All funds must have a legal and transparent source of origin.
Submit documents to the Consulate and obtain a visa
Catch a slot (cita) to file with the Spanish Consulate of your district and pay the fee. Hand over your ID and passport. After 2-4 weeks, take the passport with the D visa pasted.
Getting Spanish Health Insurance
Get a Spanish insurance company with full coverage. The main condition: insurance must be without deductibles and surcharges (sin copagos) and valid from the first day of entry.
Enter Spain and issue a residence card (TIE)
After entering, you have a month to make a residence permit (empadronamiento), pay the duty 790-012, hand over fingerprints to the police and then pick up the finished plastic TIE card.
Self serving is not suitable for everyone. Mistakes in the choice of school accreditation, the wording of medical certificates, the type of insurance or the calculation of the IPREM financial qualification can lead to the loss of the consular fee, long inquiries and refusal of a visa.
Who needs an escortWhen is best to go professionally accompanied
Information is available to everyone. But when the cost of error is higher than the cost of system training, choose Navira.
Family
More documents, higher financial requirements, more complicated deadlines and transfers.
Sponsorship and income
Payment for studies by relatives, remote income during studies or savings on accounts - it is important to correctly prove the legality of the origin of money.
Change of profession
If you are drastically changing professions or choosing a course unrelated to your previous diploma, a strong motivation letter will be required so that the consul has no doubts.
There was a refusal or request
You can't go again without a reason and a new strategy.
Submission through the Consulate
It is important to correctly catch a deficit record (cita), prepare a medical certificate strictly in form and have time to submit a package of documents before their expiration.
After approval
TIE, bank, rent, school, taxes, Autónomo, extension.

We don't draw documents. We're building a provable case.
Navira only works with real documents. We identify weaknesses in advance, but we do not create fictions instead of facts. If you don't have a real reason, the right way is not to draw documents, but to choose another route or prepare the ground legally. Fictitious documents can lead to refusal, cancellation of the visa and problems in future applications.

Client case
Rahul and Priya
India / Mumbai / Mobile Developers
Rahul works as a mobile developer and has been working remotely with a foreign company for several years. Over time, the couple began to think about moving to Europe - they wanted to live in a calmer environment and have more opportunities to travel and live outside of India.
They chose Spain and applied for a Digital Nomad visa through the Consulate General of Spain in Mumbai. Most of the time was spent preparing documents from the employer and confirming a stable income, but the process itself turned out to be clearer than they expected.
Now the couple has already received resident cards and is settling in Spain. According to Rahul, the most unusual thing after Mumbai was the slower pace of life and the opportunity to better separate work and personal time, while remaining at the same level of income.
Client case
Vikram
India / Nashik / Architect
Vikram worked as an architect in Nashik and mainly worked on private residential projects. After being laid off at the company, he began looking for remote work opportunities outside of India, but was faced with the fact that it was impossible to apply for a Digital Nomad visa without an international contract.
We helped him find an employer and prepare a contract with a European company, after which we began preparing documents for moving to Spain. The main emphasis when applying was to confirm specialized education, work experience and stable income under a foreign contract.
Now Vikram has already received a resident card and continues to work remotely on international projects. The family remains in India for now, but he plans to formalize the reunion later. Since moving, he says it has become easier to focus on work and plan for the future without the constant uncertainty he faced after losing his job back home.
Client case
Amina
Nigeria / Lagos / Nursing student
Amina came to Spain for long-term language courses even before the changes in migration legislation in 2025. During her studies, she decided to continue her education in Spain and applied to the nursing program in Teruel.
We helped her prepare documents for homologation of the certificate, process admission and change of status within Spain without the need to leave the country. According to Amina, what took the most time was collecting documents and waiting for responses from different departments.
Now Amina has already begun her studies and is adapting to life in Spain. She says that the move gave her a sense of stability and the opportunity to make long-term plans related to her studies and future profession.
Client case
Hasan and Fatima
Pakistan / Karachi / Senior UI/UX Designer
Hassan has worked as a UI/UX designer for many years on international projects and collaborated with foreign teams remotely. After the birth of their daughter, the family began to seriously think about moving and a quieter living environment.
We helped Hasan select a contract with an international company that met the requirements of the Digital Nomad visa, and prepared a complete package of documents for submission. Documents were submitted through the Consulate General of Spain in Karachi. According to Hasan, the work that took the most time was the approval of documents by the employer and the preparation of financial confirmations.
Now the family already lives in Spain and has received resident cards. Hasan continues to work remotely in the same field, and Fatima is busy adapting the family to a new life. They say that after moving, they especially began to appreciate the calmer pace of life and the opportunity to spend more time together.
Client case
Lina
Kazakhstan / Almaty / Digital Marketing Specialist
Lina worked at a marketing agency in Almaty and managed projects for foreign clients. Over time, she wanted to try living in Europe.
Lina came to Spain on a tourist visa, after which she contacted us to register Digital Nomad within the country. We helped her prepare proof of income, collect a package of documents and submit an application in Spain.
As a result, Lina received the Digital Nomad residence for 3 years and now lives in Madrid. She continues to work in digital marketing remotely.
Client case
Kwame
Ghana / Accra / Data Analyst
Kwame worked as a data analyst for an international fintech company and collaborated remotely with a UK team based in Accra. Over time, he began to consider moving to Europe to live in a more stable environment while continuing to work internationally.
To obtain a Digital Nomad visa, Kwame turned to us for assistance. We helped him prepare a package of documents, confirm remote employment and prepare financial documents for submission through the Spanish Embassy in Accra. According to Kwame, the work that took the most time was preparing documents from the employer and tax confirmations.
After approval, Kwame moved to Malaga and received a resident card. Now he continues to work remotely in the field of data analytics and is gradually adapting to life in Spain. He says that after the move he began to better separate work and personal time, which he previously lacked.
Client case
Ekaterina
Russia / Moscow / English teacher
Ekaterina worked as an English tutor for several years and taught both individual lessons and online groups for students from Moscow. Most of her work had long been done remotely, so the idea of moving to Spain came quite naturally - without the need to change profession or look for a new job.
Ekaterina came to Spain on a tourist visa, and we applied for Digital Nomad within the country through UGE. We helped her prepare proof of income from private practice, online platforms and regular students. An important advantage was that she did not have to interrupt classes even while completing paperwork.
A positive decision came after 19 days.
Client case
Lida and Dima
Russia / Kaliningrad / 3D Interior Designer + doctor
Lida worked as a 3D interior designer and collaborated with clients remotely, while Dima was building a career in medicine. When the family began to think about moving, they decided to register Digital Nomad specifically for Lida, since her work fully met the requirements of the program.
The family came to Spain on tourist visas with their little daughter. While they were searching for housing and adapting, we prepared a case for submission within the country through UGE. The main emphasis was placed on Lida’s portfolio, international customers and confirmation of stable remote income.
After approval, the whole family immediately received a residence for 3 years and received TIE cards. Additionally, we helped Lida register as an autonoma. Now the family is settling into a new place, and Dima is preparing documents for the homologation of a medical diploma.

What might go wrongly
We're honest about the risks. We do not scare, but create a safe relocation strategy, in which every step is taken into account and insured.
| Situation | What the problem looks like | What are we doing | Why is it important |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 Illogical course choice | The program has nothing to do with your past experience or diploma. | We make a strong motivational letter with the justification of study. | Without clear logic, the consul will see immigration risk and refuse. |
| 2 Confusion with sponsorship | Relatives give money to study, but their relationship and income are not confirmed. | Make the correct notarial letter and prove the legality of money. | The consulate should clearly see who is holding you and what funds. |
| 3 Inappropriate insurance | Tourist policy or Spanish option with surcharges (copagos) is issued. | We offer Spanish insurance with full coverage. | Insurance without franchises and restrictions is a strict requirement of the law. |
| 4 Family without IPREM calculation | Financial guarantees are shown excluding dependent family members. | We recalculate the amount of the balance on the accounts taking into account allowances for each relative. | For a joint trip with the family, higher financial indicators are needed. |
| 5 Mistakes in the medical certificate | There is no mandatory wording of IHR-2005 in the medical report. | Check the text of the form 082/y before visiting the Consulate. | Incorrect text of the medical certificate will disrupt the reception of documents. |
| 6 There was a previous rejection | The applicant attempts to submit the same package of documents without modification. | We analyze the official reason for the refusal and completely change the strategy. | Repeating past mistakes guarantees another failure and complicates the story. |
| 7 Request from the consul | The Consulate asks for additional documents promptly. | We prepare a structured response and point-by-point send the necessary information. | An incomplete or chaotic response to a request will result in a case being closed. |

Frequent questions on Student residence permit
The FAQ covers the client’s main issues: route, income, family, insurance, cost, risks, taxes and life after approval.
1 I don't have a background. Will the visa be approved?
Yeah. Spain does not forbid changing direction. But if the course is radically different from your past experience or diploma, the consul will need strong arguments. We are writing a detailed motivation letter that logically explains this career turnaround and removes suspicions of immigration risks.
2 Do I have to come to Spain to serve?
If we are considering a standard route through the Consulate in your country - no, before obtaining a visa, you do not need to go to Spain. You collect the documents at home, personally bring them to the Consulate or Visa Center (BLS) and there you pick up the ready passport with a D visa.
3 Do I need to go personally to public institutions in Spain?
At the submission stage at the Consulate - yes, the visit to the submission of documents and biometrics is personal. But after arriving in Spain, at the stage of registration of the TIE card (registration, police), our coordinator takes the record and basic procedures for himself. Your presence will only be required for fingerprinting.
4 How long does it take to get a student visa?
On average, from 1.5 to 2.5 months: 2-3 weeks - school selection, course payment, collection of certificates and their sworn translation. From 2 to 4 weeks - official review of documents in the Consulate.
5 Is it possible to include a family in the application?
Yeah. The student has the right to transport the spouse(s) and children (accompanying status). They will be served at the same time or later. The main condition is to show increased financial guarantees on the IPREM scale for each family member and prove kinship.
6 Can I legally work in Spain on a student visa?
Yeah. Student status gives the automatic right to work up to 30 hours a week, if the work does not interfere with studies. At the same time, your earnings in Spain cannot be counted as basic financial guarantees when applying - you must show the money for living in advance.
7 Do I have to pay taxes in Spain if I have a student residence permit?
Education itself does not impose tax obligations. But if you work for a Spanish company or live in the country for more than 183 days a year, you can become a tax resident. In such cases, we involve our tax specialist for consultation.
8 What amount should be in the account for approval (student residence permit)?
The amount is tied to the state index IPREM. A minimum of 100% IPREM is required for each month of study (about €7,200 per year). If you are traveling with your family, the first addict gets an additional 75 percent IPREM, and the next one gets 50 percent. The money should lie on a clear account with a statement about the movement of funds.
9 Is normal travel insurance suitable?
Nope. The Spanish Consulate requires a full policy from an accredited Spanish insurance company. It should not have franchises, restrictions on limits and surcharges for visits to the doctor (sin copagos), as well as a mandatory repatriation block. This is exactly the kind of insurance we offer.
10 What should I do if I have already refused a study visa?
It's not a sentence. We request an official letter from the consul, look at what exactly you stumbled on (did not like the school, the weak balance of the account, did not believe in the purpose of study) and completely reassemble the logic of the case, strengthening the weaknesses.
11 Is any language school suitable for a visa?
Absolutely not. The school is required to have state accreditation (e.g. the Cervantes Institute for language courses or a ministerial license for business schools) and to provide you with an official invitation (matrícula) for a full-time program of at least 20 hours per week. Online courses don't work.
12 What is a medical certificate on Form 082/y?
This is an official doctor’s opinion that you do not suffer from diseases that may harm public health under the International Health Regulations 2005. Without this specific wording, the Consulate will not accept documents.
13 Who is Traductor Jurado and why is it needed?
He is a sworn interpreter accredited by the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Normal notarial translations are often rejected by the Spanish Consulate. The Jurado translation is certified by a special digital or physical seal and does not require additional certification from a notary.
14 Is it possible to show money simply in cash or on a crypto wallet?
Nope. The consulate accepts only official bank statements. Moreover, it is not enough to simply “put the amount the day before filing.” Spaniards demand to show the movement of funds in recent months and the legal source of the origin of this money (salary, sale of property, dividends).
15 Do I need to pay for the course in full before submitting the documents?
Yes, in 95% of cases, the Consulate requires a document confirming 100% payment for the entire period of study. If you pay only the first month or part of the course, there is a high probability of rejection due to non-compliance with the terms of the program.
16 What if I have lived in other countries and how many years do I need a criminal record?
It is mandatory for persons over 18 years of age if the course lasts more than 6 months. Spain checks the history of the last 5 years. If you have lived in one country for 3 years and 2 years in another (including your country of citizenship), you will need two certificates. The main thing is that they are not older than 3-6 months, apostilled and translated by a sworn translator.
17 Is it possible to switch from student status to working residence permit?
Yeah. After successful completion of studies in Spain (for example, higher education or long-term language courses), the law allows you to modify the student status into a full-fledged residence permit with the right to employment or as an Autónomo (IP).
18 Is it possible to extend student status after language courses without leaving Spain?
No, it is impossible to extend the language school for a second year in Spain - the migration service will refuse. It is possible to remain without leaving for your home country only in one case: if after language courses you enter a level higher - a university, a master's degree or higher professional education (FP). This change of status on the spot, we help to issue a “turnkey”.
